In a whirlwind of changing trends, Brittany Nemec’s wedding photography shines with timeless elegance. She doesn’t simply snap pictures, but captures the details, stories, and emotions. “My wedding photography style is timeless. My work is film based with classic editing,” says Brittany. “I keep my images true to color. What you see in the mirror is what you get in my photos. When you look back on your photos twenty, thirty, or even forty years from now, with your grandkids by your side, they won’t be dated.”

EARLY LIFE AND PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

Born in Georgia, Brittany moved often due to her father’s military service. Her family eventually settled in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She attended Chandler Gilbert Community College and later graduated with a business degree from Arizona State University. 

Married eight years to her husband, Joel, it was her engagement ring that sprouted the seeds of her photography career. She used a basic camera to capture the ring nestled in a hibiscus flower. She admits this delicate snapshot was a little cheesy and not her finest work, but a humble beginning to her creative destiny.

Starting with dog photography and offering free family shoots to friends, Brittany’s passion became her guiding compass. It led her through the maze of lenses, backdrops, and lighting. However, it wasn’t until the birth of her son, Holden, that she pursued photography full time. She found the flexibility in her craft to support her family through the ebb and flow of motherhood. Little did she know, this was merely the prologue to a flourishing career in the luxury wedding photography market.

CAPTURING AUTHENTIC MOMENTS

For Brittany, the beauty of being a wedding photographer lies in the creativity that each event unfurls. 

“I love the creativity that I get to pull out of every wedding,” Brittany shares. “No two weddings are the same! Every day is so different. I love to capture the magical elements, especially the personal ones. I always start by photographing the small details first because it gets my creative juices flowing for the day.” 

With nearly a decade in the wedding industry, Brittany has witnessed it all—from unique love stories to the occasional wardrobe malfunction. Armed with experience and wedding wisdom, she guides couples to live in the moment and embrace their authenticity, ensuring that every shot captures the raw beauty of their love.

“Live in the moment,” she advises. “Don’t let me or my camera deter you from feeling those true feelings. Let the day unfold naturally. Be yourselves. Be in love. My job is to capture those moments, not stage them. I will photograph so much beauty, just by you enjoying your day and loving on your partner.”

Amidst the bustling, sometimes hectic, wedding day, Brittany is a comfortable, familiar presence. Her camera is a portal through which she enters the couple’s love story, immersed in the joy. She effortlessly navigates the details of the day, yet never intrudes upon the sacred moments that unfold.

Offering a reassuring smile and gentle guidance, she anticipates any needs. She becomes part of the celebration, sometimes even busting a move as she documents the dance floor.

HONORING BRITTANY’S MOTHER

There is one poignant moment during the wedding day that stands out for Brittany. 

“One of my main joys,” she says, her voice softening with emotion, “is preserving the moments between a mother and daughter. Recently, I lost my own mom to cancer. I understand the profound significance of those memories. I cherish looking back on photos and memories with my mom. It’s something that I bring into every wedding. I want to capture the most important people in your life so that you always have something to treasure and look back on.”
